If you’re not happy with your credit score though, don’t stress - credit score isn’t always the most important factor when it comes to assessing your application. For some lenders, there are more important factors to consider like the car you’re looking to buy, your income or your living situation.

The two main consumer loan options available with Driva are secured and unsecured loans. Secured loans are normally used for newer cars, and they involve using your vehicle as collateral against the loan. Because you’re giving you lender a large amount of security, they’ll normally be able to give you a lower interest rate. Unsecured loans by comparison are often used for older cars. You won’t need to put your car up as collateral, but you will likely end up paying a higher interest rate. 

If you’re after a vehicle to use for business purposes, you can consider our commercial loan options. Some of our most popular commercial products include novated leases, ongoing leases, hire purchase agreements and chattel mortgages. 

You can also consider dealer finance, which can include guaranteed future value. Keep in mind though that you won’t be able to compare finance options from more than 30 lenders (like you can with Driva!).

If you’re buying your used Polestar from a private seller, you might like to run a used vehicle search, which you can do for $2 with the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR). The PPSR will check if the vehicle is recorded as debt-free, stolen or written off, and all you’ll need to provide is the vehicle’s serial number (you can’t search using the registration number or engine number).
